Elizabeth Colbert Busch spreading her message through debate and on the campaign trail. She says people throughout the district want the same three things – they ask can you get our fiscal house in order, can you create jobs, and can we trust you? She says you can, and she has a plan for the rest.
“How we’re going to do that is we’re going to get our fiscal house in order, we’re going to pay attention to what our costs are, we are going to look at our dollars, and we’re going to prioritize those dollars by determining what are our assets and if you’re going to invest in those assets you’re going to get a return on that investment. We have incredible assets in our district and we need to pull them together and we need to let the nation know just how great we are because candidly our best days are ahead of us. So we’re going to get our fiscal house in order and we’re going to create jobs, and leverage our assets at the same time.”
As for job creation Colbert Busch says that ties in with education so both must be addressed.
“When people have jobs they feel more comfortable with themselves. The education components are important because you have to have education and a well skilled workforce. So when we’re talking about jobs it’s not just making the jobs. It’s getting the workforce skilled and ready and you do that through education. So they go hand in hand. Education…job creation.”
So at the end of the day, why vote for Elizabeth Colbert Busch and who is she?
“Who is Elizabeth? I am a tough independent 25 year businesswoman that is going to go to Washington and speak for the people of South Carolina District One.”
Elizabeth Colbert Busch will be at the Chamber in Beaufort at noon Friday.
The election is May seventh.
